Edward Wallis Hoch was an American politician and the 17th Governor of Kansas.

 

Time in Office: January 9, 1905 - January 11, 1909

Born: March 17, 1849, Danville, Kentucky.

Died: June 1, 1925, Marion, Kansas.

Republican editor from Marion.

He published the Marion County Record  and earned a reputation as one of the state's leading journalists. 

He was a Republican member of the Kansas State House of Representatives (1889 and 1893).

Hoch was a charter member of the Kansas Authors Club
