Edward Wallis Hoch was an American politician and the 17th Governor of Kansas.

Republican editor from Marion.
He published the Marion County Record and earned a reputation as one of the state's leading journalists.
He was a Republican member of the Kansas State House of Representatives (1889 and 1893).
Hoch was a charter member of the Kansas Authors Club
