 The Kansas State History website a part of  Prairie Hearth Design's Historical Division.  The mission of this division is to assist students and scholar's to find the best resources on the Internet about history. This particular site covers the history of the State of Kansas. We include information and resources about the State's history and it's residents that have made this State a vital part of the United States and it's history.

Who Operates This Web site

Rick Brainard is an independent scholar and a member of the American Historical Association. His main historical area of interest is 18th century history with a special emphasis on Colonial America.

As a college student, he wrote several papers on the American Revolutionary war. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from Emporia State University.

From 1997 to 2000 Rick was the About.com Guide to 18th Century History where he assisted students, teachers, writers and others find the information that they needed about this interesting period of time.
