Who Operates This Web site Rick Brainard is an independent scholar and a member of the American Historical Association. His main historical area of interest is 18th century
history with a special emphasis on Colonial America. As a college student, he wrote several papers on the American Revolutionary war. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from Emporia State University.
